How to prepare to up until Ganesha Chaturthi is to increase your Ganesha practices, be chanting to him every day, every morning. What you can do is put a little sign next to your bed when you wake up and put the mantra there, so that that’s the first thing that you think. While you are even lying in bed before you get up. So, that’s a great way to greet Ganesha in the morning and start your day with the obstacle removing mantra and the obstacle removing being. Because he can come into our lives and he can break those obstacles.

You will want to leading up to Ganesha’s Birthday, you want to be calling upon him more.  If you have a little Ganesha and haven’t been carrying around, now is a good time to put that into practice. If you don’t, then you might want to participate in one of the remedies and receive that gets energized during this time.

Ganesha is all about attention. One of the main reason why we worship Ganesha as a prayer, yes, but apart from that, we knock on the head 4 or 5 times and we make prayer to Ganesha. It’s a small ritual, it’s a simple ritual, and you can knock on your forehead 5 times before you begin an action, before you want to do anything now. It can be anything. Before you want to study, before you want to work, before you want to do anything you can say
Om Gum Ganapataye Namaha and knock on your head 5 times, and you can also do a simple ritual within yourself.

On the day of Ganesha Chaturthi, what I strongly request people is to watch the rituals that are being performed. Because you have very experienced priests who are performing these rituals, and just your attention, your sacrifice of time, energy to watch and to participate through this modern blessing of internet and all this technologies that we have are God’s true blessings.

Dr.Pillai has said that you can do an abhishekam, you can do a hydration with turmeric and water and pour it onto Ganesha. So, that’s something that folks can do at home. If you have a turmeric root, you can hold it in your hand and do the meditation with it. So put it in the palm of your hand where it gets energized and also that turmeric thing goes into the body as a way of removing and absorbing negativity. You can have 1 or 2 either one at your palms so that is a tip for you at home.

The procedure for offering things to Ganesha would be, the first would be the sandalwood powder, the paste, and then would be the flowers. Then the incense, and then the light, and then the food offering, and then the final light.

So, once again, first the sandalwood paste

Second would be the flowers

Third would be the incense

Fourth would be the light. It’s preferably a ghee lamp, or you don’t have ghee lamp, any kind of lamp, and then

Fifth would be the food offering, any edible item.

Then the last would be, if you don’t have camphor, if you can’t show the Mangala Aarti, the final light using a camphor, you can use the same lamp, the ghee lamp, or any lamp, ghee lamp or any lamp previously and offer that as your final prayer. That should be the procedure.

If you don’t have any of those 3 D items, you can print out a picture of Ganesha and that is available anywhere on the internet pretty much. So, you can create this item that you have that you are going to be making offerings to because you are calling upon his energy in whatever form that is, whether it’s a statue, or the yantra, or a picture of him, and that’s really important to do.

Then I highly recommend that if you can participate in any of the ceremonies, this clay Ganesha thing is the best ever. It’s as Premaraja had mentioned and Dr.Pillai talks about how this is just such a boon to us to have this type of spiritual technology available in this transference.
