Learn how In honour of Ganesha’s birthday, Pillai Center is specially designing 3 Ganesha statues, using fresh clay, to represent Maha Ganapati, Haridra Ganapati, and Kshipra Ganapati. Vedic priests will enliven these statues in the Ganesha Chaturthi special Grand Fire Labs and prayer offerings to invoke their unique and miraculous blessings.
I remember the last time I think it was around four years ago or five years ago, 2014 I celebrated Ganesha Chaturthi at Homa Center where we had around 3000 clay Ganeshas and it was a lot of work. It was with a lot of rituals. It was physically and mentally you know challenging ritual. It was a beautiful ceremony where we worship around 3,000 Ganeshas a span of around 10 days and then we had to take all the Ganeshas and you know there are individuals who have sponsored for each and every clay Ganeshas and Sankalpa have to be done for every Ganesha, rituals have to be done and then we also take those Ganesha you know go to the sea to immerse them.
The ritual based scriptures help us understand what are the materials in which the energy of God can stay and also for how long. This science is mentioned only in the ... You cannot find these on Vedas and only .... you can find these details and it is very beautifully mentioned that you know in turmeric you can invoke Ganesha.
That's how we invoke, usually that helps us to invoke, we perform rituals for other people. In clay, sand we can invoke Ganesha. Dharba grass, there is a beautiful grass in which we can invoke Ganesha and that grass is also used for many, many spiritual activities and you know in a reflecting glass, in a pot, in a rock - there are many places in which you can invoke God and so this clay Ganesha is very special and very unique.
It represents the Prithvi you know fullness of the earth element and also the Ganapathi's mantra also has the earth element in it , Glam Glom Ganapataye Namaha.
If you are a religious person you will know that ....., the mantra for earth element is La or L, Lum. So this Glam Gloum Gum Ganapataye Namaha has the earth element in it. So this clay Ganesha’s worship is very, very powerful.
This absorbs all of our karma. It absorbs you know the prayer and also we call them as Vigraham Visheshanam. It has that specially unique way of absorption where your good intentions, your prayers for one and certain things for benefit. The statue will be able to gift you back whatever you the prayers you want. But the negative one with you, it will leave you know capable enough to withhold all that negativity within itself and so during this clay Ganesha worship we pray that you know this Ganesha, this clay statue absorbs all of the negativity off of people and then dissolve them into the ocean.
